Have Great Memories with Charm Bracelets

Our mom died when I was seven. I could vaguely remember her picture, nor do I have any memories of the moment we had with each other but one thing is crystal clear I will always remember her in my spirit because of the charm bracelets that she gifted me and my sister the day she got ill and got confined at the hospital. These charm bracelets have taken my sister and I through some sad times. We’ve gone from three neighborhoods and have had new living arrangements more than any person should but braved it all understanding that we had our momma with us was what made it easier. We never thought we were abandoned thanks to silver charm bracelet.

Seems like yesterday when I smacked another girl in the face during my fifth grade because she tried to steal my charm bracelet. Her nasty name eludes me. She was the ultimate class meanie and I was the new student, from Atlanta in one of our starting over moves. She observed my bracelet and smirked where I obtained it from. When I shared it was from my mother she laughed and said that the only reason she wanted to know was because it looked so fake.

I wondered if the day couldn’t get any worse but when break period came the girl tried the most nasty thing. She grabbed my arm to pull the bracelet from me. She said she couldn’t stand the audacity of my charm bracelet so I had to dispose of it, which was right about the time that I got angry and whammed her in the nose, twice. Needless to say after several parent teacher conferences my father rose to my position and defended me of my behavior. I understand it’s unacceptable to brawl with other people but giving up this girls charm bracelets had been a thing that I can never live without having.
